Major K-Member Problem

I recently installed a BMR K-Member. Now the motor has literally shifted about an inch towards the drivers side. The difference can be seen visually as the passenger side now has alot more room. I would not mind except the #1 primary of my Hooker LT's is resting against the frame and there are heavy vibrations from this. Has anyone had this happen?

Is it a problem with one of the mounts?

Re: Major K-Member Problem

I think the BMR stuff is all just a little different. On a buddy of mine's car, he has the same issue, only w/ the passenger side. He's got a poly mount on the driver's side of the car however.

How much is it rubbing? We took a die grinder to his and kinda cut away the corner on it and it no longer rubs. Luckily that side has the solid motor mount, so the motor won't be shifting around on that side of the car at all.

Shawn, what did you grind?

It is rubbing enough on the frame to send big vibrations throughout the car when moving.

I have the mount that is attached to the K-Member on the passenger side and the stock mount on the driver's side.

Re: Major K-Member Problem

It was rubbing on the corner, in/on that "box" which houses the pass. rear k-member bolt. Hard to explain I guess, but we figured it'd be a good place the get at it w/ a grinder since there's a lot of 90* bends in that area, so the structural ingetrity wouldn't be affected. Plus, it was really just a matter of "smoothing out" the point on the k-member that was already heavily denting the header on that side of the car.
