Mainly sotck track #'s

I made a trip to Gainseville last night to see what my car would run with the new Cai, ewp, and headers. With just exhaust I ran a 14.6 with a 2.27 60 ft. It was a crappy day (110* and about to rain ll day). Anyways with the new mods I cut it down to a 14.02, with a 2.045 60 ft. I think I could have broke the 13 barrier if I could have a got another run in because I launched too soft. anyways are these times about right for my mods and Im getting a dyno tune this weekend and that should help out too. Thanks in advance.

Its already 110* ambient air temp in Florida? ? ? ? Or was that the track surface temperature?

You will get a better assessment of the engine power by looking at the MPH, rather than the ET. ET is too highly dependant on the suspension setup and driver capabilities.

What was your trap speed on the 14.6 and what was it on the 14.0?

What gears are you running? 323s or 273s or aftermarket?

If you have 2.73s I'd say you are pretty normal. If you have 3.23s I'd say you are a tad on the slow side and with higher than that, you have problems.

My bone stock 2.73 T/A which dynoed LOW at a measly 231hp was still able to muster around 14.3@95 or 96. Don't exactly remember. This was also with 255/55r16s. Big ugly truck tires.

No the 110 day was August I think. I have 3:23's and trapped at 97.96 mph. I know I could have gotten a better time but the track shut down. It was a really frutrating time at the track. I got there at 6:45 and left at around midnight and only got 3 runs in, it was that packed. And I wasnt in the stands at any times. Then there were two rearends break, 1 tranny and 1 car exploded, thats what took up all the time. What can I expect Ill never go to the season opener again.

Thats the exact reason I didn't go last night, I'm going to wait a couple weeks for it to die down.

guess it just depends on the car and driver. with edelbrock shorties, cold air, 3.73's, terminator muffler, pullies, and street tires i went 13.40's at 100 and sometimes 101 with a 1.9 60'. had a power programmer but for some reason it ran slower with it so i took the tuning part out of it. i never did have any good mph tho
