Cool Mail Order Tune

I cant find anyone to do a dyno tune so I'd like to get a mail order tune but Im a litttle worried about sending my pc out in the mail so before I do, I'd like to get some stories from other people with mail order tunes and who they got it done from and also can you just buy a tuned pc from someone instead of sending mine in? Prices?

you might want to search around. Plenty of threads about this.

You can 1) send your PCM to the tuner, you 2) can order a tuned PCM from a tuner with a core charge for the PCM, and send yours back for the core charge when you've installed the tuned PCM, or 3) you can find a tuner who will send you the tune file in an e-mail attachment, alng with a means of installing it in your PCM.

We have a supporting vendor.... go to the index of Supporting Vendors and click on the link to Trifecta. Or consider "pcmforless" or "madZ28" (aka "madtuner") or FastChips (Ed Wright). Most have procedures, pricing and data input forms on their websites. All of these sources have been used by numerous people on this site, most with success. Try a "search" on those names. There have probably been some negative posts about all of them as well. Read enough to make up your own mind.

You may be over-thinking this. From your mods list, the key elements appears to be the LT4 HOT cam and a 160-degF t'stat. I'm sure everyone I mentioned has tuned this cam a large number of times.

What happens when in 2 years I go to search for this, and I get this thread with your useless post in it?

Trifecta will send you all you need to tune it.

As injuneer said others will do a core for you also.

I used PCMforLess. My car has been running for about 2 years with the tune. I've been saying how i'm gonna get it dyno-tuned since then too.

Thumbs up

I used www.LT1PCMTuning.com and I'm very pleased with the results.
