Magnaflow users: Anyone change out tips for the "dual" tip design?

I've been doing a lot of exhausting research lately. Anywho, I like the Magnaflow...but I'm not too fond of the Single 3.5" tips. I've got a Formula, and IMO it would look better retaining the original looking "dual tips"...which the Hooker and Borla setups come with.

Has anyone with the Magnaflow gone with that type of tip?

Or, anyone with a Formula & Magnaflow have pics of their setup?

I'm not finding my answer via search.

I just don't think it would look right.

The general consensus I've seen on here is that Flowmaster is more of a Flow Waster...I'll keep away from that one thanks though!

Thanks, but I was specifically looking for the Firebird style rear end, which has cutouts already in the bumper to have the dual tipped exhaust sitting up there...

The Camaro is different.

there are a few recordings there with trans ams, where you can see the look of the tips, although the rear is slightly different from yours, its closer than a camaro. i also agree it looks a little out of place. i dont recall seeing any pics of firebirds with the system, mostly camaros.

edit: actually it seems the only recording that shows the tips that well is the stock 97 TA one, and the recording is very bad lol.

Have you spoke with the folks @ Magnaflow? I know your looking for Firebird tips, but I was'nt aware that they had box tips to replace my stock z28 tips until I went to get my Magnaflow system installed, shop doing the work showed them to me. Alittle pricey but great quality. Shop in the Dallas area www.kinneysmufflershop.com, they might be able to help.

even though its not on a magnaflow these would work on any exhaust, i think my tips look great on a t/a or formula

another pic

another

tips are from "ractive", can pick them up pretty cheap via ebay or local shop.......probably $25-35 each.

What kind of tips are those? Still not really what I'm looking for...Hrmm...

Heck, by the time I buy a Magnaflow, a set of nice tips for it is gonna cost another couple hundred.

There's GOT to be another way! Corsa's got the tips too.

EDIT: I replied before you edited. I'll give it a looksee and check out what they've got.

Did you run that under your axle?!?

corsa has the best looking tips.............but they want rediculous amounts of money for them.

b&b triflow also has nice looking quad tips, but once gain........they want $200+ just for the tips.

It is pouring rain right now so I can't take pictures, but later when it stops I'll take some and post for you. It isn't a magnaflow, but it does end in single 3.5 inch tips on each side on my 97 TA. I used to love my dual tips until I installed the new system with the singles. I had actually saved my old tips and was going to put them on until I saw what it looked like with the single 3.5's. It just looks meaner and more down to business. I get a lot of compliments. I'll try to post pics within a few hours if the rain lets up.
