Magnaflow exhaust is awesome
I just finished putting on my exhaust, it took close to ten hours because i managed to break a few things in the process, but I couldn't be happier. For $343 shipped, it is definately worth it. Performance International has them for $309. I guess I thought I would post this for all the other people that can't decide on an exhaust. I have seen a thousand posts about which one to get, and I would say the Magnaflow is a good choice. For anyone that doesn't want something really loud, this one seems to work pretty good. It isn't raspy and sounds like an old muscle car. Anyways, just thought i would tell everyone it is a good mod and definately worth the money.
hey man, if you can...i need all the info on this.
im about to buy a new exhaust system (catback) and i was seriously considerin the corsa exhaust b/c it is stainless steel and had some good sound clips but hefty price (700) and i found the magnaflow catback for only round 300. so i need to know all about it...i have a flo muffler right now and i want louder but not too loud like the loudmouth. and i want a good idle...so i needed to know how this system sounds in comparison, looks, installation.
i heard its jus a overglorified glasspack? sound clips would be great if possible????
thanx alot

Either of you guys have some pics of the Magnaflow you could post (haven't been able to locate any good ones). I've been considering this system myself, but I don't know if I like the look of the huge 3 1/2 inch tailpipes. I'm sold on the design and the price. Thanks-
wish I did, i really need a digicam. Here a thraed where you can see a vid with one. look for z28iroc http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...ight=magnaflow
I can email pics to anyone that wants them after school. As for the sound clip, I don't know how I would do that. To Stangspank, this exhaust does have a really good idle. I'm sure other exhaust are slightly better, but for half the price of most of the good ones, this is an awesome ehaust. It has a really good sound, nike raspy or anything like that. The car definately doesn't sound stock with the exhaust on. I would say get it, and spend the other half on a CAI and a shifter. You will love it, it isn't as loud as the loud mouth, but it is definately louder. I haven't had it up to WOT yet, but already I love it. Just let me know if you want pics, and I can send them
As for installing it, this was my first time doing exhaust work, but it was still pretty easy, even though it took a whole day for me to do. It is a perfect fit, but my only complaint is that the two back hangers, well the only hangers, are spaced a little too wide. It took a lot of twisting and swearing, but I got it right eventually. The whole thing was shifter a little to the right, but I just wiggled it and it finally straightened itself out. I would say it was a pretty easy install, since this was my first time. Just don't cut or break the bolt coming off the cat if you cant get them off. I found out the hard way that they were welded in, so I had to drill them out, and put new ones in. For anyone that has done exhaust work before, it is definately very easy.
Where is everyone getting this "raspy" term from?
Flowmaster is not raspy when you leave the darn cats on.
And yes Magnaflows, SLP's and Ultraflo's are glorified glasspacks!
But unlike SLP and Ultraflo Magnaflow is not a strait through muffler.
They couldn't design a crossflow so the added a restrictive baffle that shoots un-muffled exhaust out the right tailpipe. Not to mention the round Mustang tailpipes look......

I got mine for $420 shipped in a GP on another form last year. I do love it though, I would suggest it to anyone.
