Its the 97's that have the MAF power go out the most.....Damit do what i said! i bet the problem goes away!

Check the minimums for a laptop to run datascan, i think an old cheap laptop will work fine.

Alot of people sell laptop + scanner for around 2-$300.

I'll try running direct battery power today when I get off of work. These shorter days are really putting a damper on my car repairs and I need to get things done soon.

Well I tried giving it power directly from the battery and it's still giving me problems. And now the SES light is back on after wiring it that way. I'm just going to have to find some place with a scanner and figure out what's wrong with this thing. It's really making me upset.

I would unplug it to see if you notice a difference in the way the car runs. Check out this guy on ebay that sells the pigtails. http://stores.ebay.com/EFI-Connectio...QQftidZ2QQtZkm

I unplugged it once before and it still was exhibiting the same issues. I have not tried it unplugged with this latest MAF sensor, but I would think that with it unplugged before it'd basically be the same difference. Thanks for that link, by the way. I need a new MAF sensor harness now.
