MAF problems....please help!

Well my MAF is reading 0......so i thought that it was just unhooked.....it was plugged in....well does that mean that the MAF is broke and I need a new one....because i took one off of a ls1 car just to make sure that it was the problem and it read 0 also.....does the MAF have a ground somewhere that I may have over looked.....? Help me get this thing at least running right again....Thanks

Michael

The MAF needs +12V from the pink wire on the connector. Pull the plug off and check for +12V with the key on. It is not unusual for the pink wire to lose power. It comes off the harness near the PCM, and is supplied by a fuse in different locations in different years. Also check for a good ground on the black/white wire on the connector.
