mad emy own X pipe.
mad emy own X pipe.
well i was looking on the net for an X pipe. but for what i wanted it was 249 for a 3/1/2" X pipe. then i was scared of that draging the ground. so i set out to build one.
so i uses 2-45% degree of 4" pipe, put in in a press and smashed it to a 3" hieght pretty much oval. then i took the adapters to get it to 3" front and back and smashed them while leaving the 3" part a perfect circle.
now it is 24" long and the center curcumfrence is 16.25" ID
now i have a question. ive seen X pipes where they cut the X pipe verticly in half and incert a pipe to lenghten it, so the air comes in, goes togther, travels roughly 10" down a pipe so it straightens out, then hits the last part of the X and comes out, its said to be less turbulent in the X. now the reason i ask this is becuase i have a 10" piece of 5" inch pipe that i smashed to oval as well, and it will slide in the X pipe in i cut it directly in half. i had plan to use it, but i think i might leave it out. let me know what you think on the idea.
and let me know what you think of the X pipe.
