Prices seem to vary a lot, and I don't know how your market is in TX. Here is one example list from a shop I'm familiar with here in Michigan. They are helpful enough to post their prices for machining operations.

Around here I've been quoted from between 12- 20 bucks a hole to 240 bucks for boring all 8 holes with a torque plate install. 150 for decking, 65-75 for cam bearing/freeze plug installation. 150 bucks to clearance the block for 383 rotating assembly. 75 bucks for hot tanking I forgot what line boring/honing the mains were going to be. For decent machine work get some quotes and multiply by 1.5 to add in the old Oh buy the ways the inevitably happen during a project. I know from experience that going to the cheapest machinist may not be a bargain (a buddy had to pay a second shop to redo machine work done by his first shop) Good luck.
