Re: machine shop called

No not drunk post!

Kw I was thinking about doing that today. It was supposed to be valve job and surface of it needed it. Well they had to surface them which I figured would happen no big deal.
gave them comp springs locks retainers seals and the comp shim plates. Supposedly the shims aren't enough and needs more.... Well with thicker shims now my valves are to short and need 100 long valves... He is adjusting for clearance and seat pressure. Ok fine but im only running the cc503 cam.

Im pretty upset about this!

Never heard of a 908, the 26918 is what's recommended. Along with the 787 retainer and 648 locks. You wouldn't need new valves.

Re: machine shop called

You're all jacked up, find someone who knows what they are doing and take it there. Get a decent double spring on there so you don't return to the forum in 14 months with a blown motor cause the beehives broke.

Re: machine shop called

Did I stumble into a time machine?!

You don't need special valves to use nitrous, get your parts away from that moron! You should NOT need longer valves, NOT!

Where are you located and what's the name of the shop that's screwing this all up?

Re: machine shop called

there is a shop about an hour away that numerous people have told me dont go to cause they are known for improper machining. This guy was recommended by ALOT of people. I would rather not get my heads done by him but also dont have the time to drive that far just for head work.

Re: machine shop called

Your signature indicates you have LE1 heads. Why would you need a valve job? I sprayed a 150-shot on totally stock engine.
