Mac Mids...why not?
Re: Mac Mids...why not?
If you dont have emissions, definatly go for the long tubes. I did and im pretty happy with them, only i have emmissions so i may have trouble getting it passed. The EGR fitting didnt line up right so i just blocked it off.
Clearencewise, i have around 3.5 inchs at the lowest point, and my cars lowered an inch. My pacesetters have the same, if not better, clearence on my friends non-lowered camaro with hooker headers.
I run a highflow cat after the ypipe and a cutout open after that. Whenever i start my car, it brings a smile to my face.
I am very pleased with them.. once i got them in. lol

Re: Mac Mids...why not?
Ok i ve read a lot and also think a lot and decide to go with the MAC Mids.
Why:
-Best plug acces
-No fittement issue
-Very good quality
-Since i will never gonna have over 350whp the mac will suit my need and i will keep better torque a low rpm.
But still got question:
I ve ask Jet Hot for a quote about the header/y-pipe:
Price:
-Sterling coating (1,300°F)inside and outside:592$
or
-2000 coating(2,450°F)inside and outside:642$
--Does the 2000 coating worth it?,i mean 50$ is not that bad for near 2 times the heat resistance...
--Also how long the coating normally last if my car never see winters and no rain driving except if im getting cought by it
.
--Do i need O2 extension for these mid lenght?
--I have a magnaflow cat-back and still got the stock cat.Do i need to keep the cat to hook up the y-pipe to te cat-back or the y-pipe simply fit over the "S" pipe of the cat back or im totally wrong
Thank you

Re: Mac Mids...why not?
Might get a response if you asked a clear question. A couple posts ago, you worried about a 60 dollar price difference... now you're talking about spending 600 bucks on coating.
If you're willing to spend 1200 on your header/ypipe, I'd go with stainless steel long tubes. So what if they are a tiny bit more difficult to install? You do that once, enjoy them for years. (Mid are still better if you're staying with a cat)
In any case, stainless lasts, no coating does. None. One scratch in the Jethot coatings and they will start to rust there.
As for fit? Mac Mids fit great. Use new stainless header bolts, make sure you got 'em in straight, or use locking header bolts. Non locking will take a bit of retourquing on occasion.
