Mac Midlengths! Help What is NECESSARY FOR INSTALL?
I know what i would need if I were to go londtubes, how about for Mac's? Do i need o2 sensors or anything else like that or what else?
Here is what i figure that i will need:
Mac Headers & Y pipe(orp) = $500
Stage 8 Locking Bolts = $30
Felpro gaskets?
Spark Plug Wires?
What else is needed?
Where is the best place to get them? LS1Speed.com?

Well, I believe that the only thing NEEDED for the install is the MAC header kit. That should include gaskets and header bolts.
Some things to consider:
Locking header bolts - not completely necessary, but a good safeguard against future leaks.
Fel-Pro 1406 gaskets - I swear by these, as do most people. Great header gasket.
Since the exhaust manifolds are coming off, may as well do plugs and wires if they haven't been done in a while. This is also a good time to the OVC kit if it's planned.
Shop around. There's various places with various prices.

The FelPros don't fit the MACs. I had to trim mine. I'd suggest getting the OEM GM copper gaskets.
Might be a good time to change O2 sensors, depends on your mileage. I changed mine and it only had 25K, probably a waste. Good time to do plugs and wires though. I don't like the Stage 8 bolts, some of the clips I couldn't get on, a few others (the outside ones) are useless since the bolt isn't next to the primary.
Good time to get rid of the EGR and AIR, unless you deal with emmissons crap. I used some copper RTV on the gaskets. Make sure you get anti sieze for the new bolts and plugs. Also need a box of band-aids, case of beer...
I followed Jordon's MAC guide.

for the o2 sensors I would just get GM o2s. You could purchase them thru Dal or Jason cromer. I don't remember the number on the top of my head but if you do a search you can find the numbers. Also for the gaskets you can get them thru summit or jegs or f-body speed shops like thunderracing.com, ls1speed.com, tbyrnemotorsports.com. So it all depends where you wanna go. Also if you are planning to install the headers yourself if you search for a user Jordan Musser, he has a step by step guide on install mac headers. I used it with my installations and it made installation a breeze. And on your question about Over the Valve cover spark plug wires. It all depends on your taste. Personally I like the OVC style and it makes routing the wires and wire changes easy. You will love the Macs. It will make plug access awesome. One more thing you could get the macs anywhere but if you have the extra money I would get them from Jet Hot Coatings. They sold me my Macs and they look awesome under the hood coated. Because the HTC coating that the macs come in aren't that good to hold up to the heat. I know people will tell you that you don't need it but I would recommend it. Well if you have anymore questions please free to either e-mail me or send me a PM. Sorry everybody for the long post. Good luck
I hated my Stage 8 header bolts, they never worked. I switched to the new Breslin Splitlocks and I haven't had to tighten a header bolt in months. Here's a link incase you have questions.

Those fasteners look awesome, gonna get a set.
What about using the 1470 gasket? It's LT1 specific, and it doesn't blow out on the sides of the #1,7,2, and 8 cylinders.
My heads were ported to that gasket. Seems to line up right with my Jet Hot LT's, hopefully will with my MAC's.
Also, where can I get the gasket that fits the MAC header y pipe? Mine is coming used.
