Question Mac Headers install worth it

I have a set of shorty Jet Hot coated headers w/the y pipe and new O2 sensor for my 94.It has only 90k miles on it.I want to know if the headache of installing these specific headers will be worth it.Will my mileage go down a lot?

I plan on putting in new platinum plugs and new 8mm wire also.I don't know how much longer I will keep my car maybe a year tops.I've owned it now for 9 years and need a change-I love the car,but man 9 years with the same car is a long time,my longest love affair ever.

If I don't put them on I wil sell them here.Thats where I got them a few years back and they been sitting in a box in my garage...

Well, just know adding a set of headers to your car wont increase its value at all. Your gas milage on the other hand should go up ever so slightly and the acceleration from the mid range up will be greatly improved.

It took me a weekend, probably about 14-16 hours to install mine with my dad, and this was doing the project slowly, and even taking about 3 trips to the store to get small parts.

If I personally knew I was going to sell the car, I'd probalby just sell the headers. Yeah, the gains would be great but in reality I'd rather have the extra money in pocket for my next car, as well as avoiding the extra hassle.

I'd say put the headers on. I went from similar times/mph of your to consistant 13.3's at 104-105mph consistantly. The Mac's make changing plugs/wires a breeze. If only for that value over stock manifolds, its worth it.

Since you are selling the car soon , here's my opinion:

I depends if you care for an extra 20 rwhp. It makes plug changes easier, that's for sure. To be honest though, with the resale value of our cars, it's not worth installing them now. It's not going to add value to the car.

It's up to you, if you will enjoy the extra HP. Is it worth the time putting them in?
