MAC Header Install Question

Tried a search but I couldn't find anything...

I was hoping you all could help me out with a problem I have with my MAC Headers. There is a small tube with a flange sticking out of the rear most passenger side primary. It's not the EGR pipe sticking up, which I attached, but a short narrow tube. Anyway, I can't find what I"m supposed to hook it up to. It's the source of my header leak and I want to either attach something or plug it up with something. Any suggestions?

All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: MAC Header Install Question

What style are we talking about? 93, 94-95 or 96-97? There should be 5 holes/hookups total. EGR, 2 o2 bungs and 2 air fittings.

Re: MAC Header Install Question

You have a 93 which has a specific set of header for that year. It sound like you have a set for a 94-95. The the little tube sticking out in the back is the EGR for 94-07 cars. The one sticking up in the front is the AIR tube. You just need to find a way to plug it off. I had mine cut and welded shut.

Re: MAC Header Install Question

Thanks for the help everyone!

I'm sure I have the 93 specific headers. I have the EGR bung on the rear of the passenger primary which I hooked up, and my AIR hookup on the driver's side. Are there two AIR fittings? Or am I still missing something. Sorry if I'm sounding dumb in this post, but I really can't figure this out. I appreciate everyone's assistance.

Re: MAC Header Install Question

I think it may help if I use a picture. Sorry for linking, but I don't have anywhere to host...

The concern I have is with the passenger side (right side in the pic). The bung sticking up (which I assume is the EGR), is on the rear primary on my 93. The pipe I have nothing hooked up to now is the small one that also comes out of the rear-most primary. You can see it in the picture. What is supposed to go here?

Sorry again for the double post...

Re: MAC Header Install Question

My bad...I got the AIR fitting and EGR mixed up (in terms of which pipe is which). I assume now I have the two AIR fittings hooked up but not the EGR. The scary part now is that I don't remember unbolting the EGR...

Thanks for the responses.
