I wouldn't recommend the Pace Setter's after my experience. I had a guy spot weld a couple places where I could see daylight coming thru where the header pipes were welded to the flange. Install was total pain in the *** as to be expected and I wouldn't wish it on anyone Plug clearance OK. They've held up now for 4 years and about 10k miles with no leaks but I was very disappointed in their build quality. THey gave me a good gain and nice sound but I would recommend you look elsewhere. I probably should have sent them back but didn't want to fool with that hassel and turn around time.

Good luck.

Well if you look at mt sig you'll see we have pretty close the same mods. I love my Pace-setter headers....they were a PITA to install...but what header isn't on f-body's? For the money they are a great deal. I noticed a huge gain and I've been told that the pace setters are actually mids. I'm sure there are better ones out there but if your on a tight budget I would say go with these.

I personally like the SLP's. I have seen dyno #'s of 26hp to the wheels.

Honestly, dont buy one brand over another because of power. They will all dyno within 2-5 HP of each other. More power will come with long tubes, they all dyno roughly the same though. When you buy headers look for build quality, price, plug access, and coating.

IMO shorties are shorties, mids are mids, and LT's are LT's when it comes to power. Pick what kind you want and then look for the best quality headers for the price.

Just my $.02

Another RK recommendation here. They're a good compromise between shorty and LT's with their mid length and 1¾" diameter. The price is pretty good for what you get too.

The coating is ok. I've had them for about 2 years and the only rust is from where I scratched them.

MAC (mid-length):
1 5/8" primaries
not ceramic coated which is a downfall (does have HTS coating, what is that, is it like ceramic coating??)
$400
The car will have Loudmouth exhaust, XE 224/230 cam and K&N CAI all done at the same time. If that helps any. I am leaning towards the MAC's, cause they are mid-length and appear to have good plug access, but no ceramic coating worries me. Thanks for all of your help.
Just found this thread in a search, I'm looking at getting MAC's right now from Jet Hot with the Coating. So are the "MAC Shorty headers" for 93-95 single cat Z28's really mid lengths? Or are you guys referring to an actual MAC midlength header?

You want the '94-'95 single cat sytle, model TF94957, and yes, they are midlengths.

They should run you about $560 shipped to your door, Jet-Hot coated inside and out including the headers and Y-pipe.

Here's a pic of mine when they arrived from Jet-Hot.
