How hard is True Duals ???

Ok heres the deal, I have a 95 Z28 Convertible. I just put my long tubes in this week, and my ORY WILL NOT fit it because I have a brace that is to stiffen up the car since its a convertible. I Dont wanna get subframe connectors yet. Well, I do, but I dont want to have to spend money rite now

So since my Y wont bolt up ( Im gonna try making it work with spacers tommorow, but if that wont go ... im ****ed ... ) I was thinking of ditchin the flowmaster catback, and sendin the ORY back to RPE, IF its easy enough to do true dauls without loosing ground clearance ... Is there enough room to run dual 3inch, maybe 2 1/2, (probly 3's though ...) over the axle ? Somebody with true Duals, could you hook me up with some pics or a link to a site with pics, give me some ideas of how i can run them.

If I do true duals, im going to get to flowmaster mufflers ( How much for 2 40 series *Think 40 is the best sounding ones ?*) and want my tips to come out at /near stock locations( As in - I dont want to dump it before the axle) I never really thought about doing true duals before, nor have i looked under the car yet, so If I go to true duals how much clearance will I loose compared to my LT's (Which have great clearance for LT's ) and a Y ? ...

Im open to suggestions for a cheap good flowing exhaust rite now ...

I would really like to get my Y working though cause If I put a cut out in it at the Y its gonna flow jsut as good as any true dual ever will anyways so ...

2.5" duals would help you out with clearance. Im still trying to decide whether or not having the X-pipe over the H-pipe, or vise versa, will see better clearance...
