so like everyone's transmission, mine makes noises going thru the gears under spirited acceleration.

just as a preventative measure i was going to change out my transmission fluid. the car has 90,XXX so i am sure it won't hurt.

does anyone have an oil suggestion that will work well in texas and make the transmission quieter? i am looking to get better than just bargain basement. i also know that this will not solve all the noises, but it sure is cheaper than a transmission rebuild.

Most people use either the Honda ATF or Mobil 1 ATF.. both are good oils and work well in the tranny.

 

i run the honda atf with good success. however, the noise did not quite down.
