My tranny has been grinding going into second and fifth gear. I took a chance and put the stage 3 spec clutch in and prayed. praying didn't work so my questions are, anyone rebuild their M6 and upgrade the synchros? Any rebuild kits? Any helpful hints other then take it to a rebuild shop would be cool.

 

I have had mine apart with no prior experience. I did not have to do synchros though. They are a little tougher and require you to shim the mainshaft for proper endplay. Standard Trans has a book for about $20 or you can try to find it for free on this site with a search. Also, the GM manual is good. I have both, but found the dealer manual to be best.
