Lube or sealant? (rocker studs)

Not sure if they touch coolant or not.

I just used a little ARP sealant on mine, because lloyd recommended using selant on the intake studs because he mentioned the threaded holes will be exposed to the intake ports after porting, but I used a lil sealant on them all, partly because one of my friends kept coming loose. I then torqued them all down to 50 ft lbs.

Guess they would need to be torqued with the heads on, eh?

LOL, i did it with the heads off for room, and it wasnt the easiest task to keep the head from moving while torquing it down, but thats what we have fathers for, to hold things in situations like that

I had to use the impact wrench to get the stock studs off. There was no way in doing it with a breaker bar and a head bolted to nothing.
