LT's effect lowered cars???

I got eibach pro kit on my 97Z and was wondering if the Long Tubes would make it more difficult to get over bumps. I already scrape my Flowmaster Cat-Backs

Well if you get a custom y-pipe it may not be as bad but my car is not lowered and my mufflex hits the ground sometimes which sux just the drivers side is low. It feel on real good just to damn low

I have an Eibach drag launch kit on my car and it did not lower it any but I still hit my exhaust on speed bumps and such, not the headers themselves mind you just the exhaust behind the collectors.
So yeah I would counsel against putting LTs on a lowered car, unless you like that insanely excruciating sound of your exhaust scaping over pavement, personally I cant stand it, I try to jump up a little to get my fat *** off the suspension so it will get over the bump or I think LIGHT thoughts.

I have the LT's on my car and it is lowered with the Hotchkis springs and I don't think it is as bad as some people say it is.

As long as you are careful over the speedbumps, it won't drag. Well, mine doesn't anyway.

eibach prokit, custom y pipe, hooker LTs.

As long as yuo take speed bumps at angles (slowly) you wont have any problems. At least i dont.

thanks guys. my thing though is the cat-back part of my pipe already scrapes like hell. SO I dont know if the custom Y-pipe would help.

Same here, I have the pro-kit and FLP's and their y-pipe. I do a good job of avoiding speed bumps as much as possible. However you could get by with shorties or mid-length's untill you do heads and cam.

I just installed FLP Long Tubes on my unlowered 97 Z28, and I have already scraped a few driveways since the driver side pipe hangs pretty low. However, I havent had any issues with pipes banging the floorboard (Looks like FLP redesigned the driver side pipe to hang lower rather than tuck up against the floor...which caused the pipe to contact the crossmember). Other than that, the headers are great. Awesome sound, looks, and a definate increase in performance!
