Lt's and cats = pass emissions

I always hear that you need mid headers to pass emissions. Can you get through with Lt's and a catted y pipe? just wondering.

Thanks,

What year is your car. If you have a 96 or above car and you have the "plug-in" emissions test and if your inspector does not check underneath the car, then yes you can pass.

Long tubes don't make it harder to past the tailpipe emissions test.... they will have no affect at all on emissions. They will "fail" (if there is an adequate "visual" inspection, and if your state enforce the Federal law) because they relocate the cat(s), which is a violation of Federal law.

I have long tubes and i have my cat welded in my exhaust behind the y-pipe.. its kinda a little to far back there. I live in PA and i passed all but the sniffer test. So i took it to a different place and it passed the sniffer somehow... i dont know how they did it because i had some pretty bad numbers but they managed to pass it really good
