Re: LTCC w/ LS2 coil packs and modified harness
the LS2 coil packs are supposed to use less amps to produce more volts and they are smaller. the real reason i used them was i bought them on ebay with the harness bracket and coils for 180 shipped lol
Re: LTCC w/ LS2 coil packs and modified harness
I always wanted the LTCC but didnt like the mess of all the wires. Bob should have done it like that from the beginning. I actually asked if he would but he didnt have the time.
Re: LTCC w/ LS2 coil packs and modified harness
how hard was it modifing the harness? how long did it take around? do you think theyll be any more nice deals like the one you got?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SSR-G...QQcmdZViewItem
on that link would those wires be long enough for the ltcc setup or no?
thanks

Re: LTCC w/ LS2 coil packs and modified harness
here is the finished product

it took about 2-3 hours or so maybe a lil longer it wasnt that hard to do just took time.
The coil pack setup i bought looked just like the one in your ebay link but i didnt get any wires for the spark plugs with mine.
I bought these harness conectors from MSD part# MSD-8185 and rebuilt all of the wiring using them. if you want i could build this exact setup for you just have to work something out on the price but it shouldnt be to bad im sure

Re: LTCC w/ LS2 coil packs and modified harness
I did a search but couldn't figure it out. What exactly is LTCC? I gather it's a coil conversion kit but I need more info or at least a link. Thanks.

the PCV system is easy the valve covers are the composite LT4 corvette style so the breather comes off the the side. cut the hose and its done
the tricky part is the oil change but, all you have to do is loosen 6 bolts and flip up the coil packs and your done

Re: LTCC w/ LS2 coil packs and modified harness
Steve, I like the wire harness cleanup you performed. I believe it looks good. Sorta one of those 'why didn't I think of it' mods. Sure would clean up my engine compartment. I hope you don't mind if I copy your wire cleanup innovation.
I agree, with the location of the breather fitting, the composite covers on one of my setups lend themselves well to the coil mounting. On my steel cover setup as well, I mounted/used OEM LS1 brkts. but those are elevated ~1.0" to clear the fitting. With those brkts, I can add oil by removing one coil attachment bolt to spin coil out of the way, accessing one of the several open areas on those brkts..

I dont mind at all, there is nothing worse than opening the hood of a bad *** car and seeing WIRES EVERYWHERE!!! My setup is a work in progress when it is all done you will see very few wires under the hood
