ltcc/delteq + blaster coils?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MSD-G...ayphotohosting
i foudn these on ebaymotors, and they are supposably better than the normal coils, are they even a bigger advantage than the normal coils, like if i had a turbo?
thanks

p.s. or does this not work because i think the ls1's had 8 instead of the 4 like in ltcc?
thanks

The Delteq has 4 coils and the LTCC has 8.
In both cases, there is plenty of "dwell" time for the stock coils to charge.
So, in my opinion, I wouldn't use anything but stock coils -- anything else is unnecessary.

I've seen the stock-style LS1 coils used on a Gen 1 SBC, 383ci, 20+# of boost, making 1,325 flywheelHP.

The coils were up to the task. I run the LS1 stock-style coils on my setup, and they are fully capable of meeting my ignition needs even with a 300-shot of nitrous.

Not sure what you gain for $550.

The Delteq does not use that style coil.... it uses the dual-tower coils similar to the ones used in the waste spark systems used on the Northstar and other GM mass-produced engines.

do you think the northstar style can handle past 1000+ flywheel hp too? would it be more helpful to get the ltcc and get 8 instead of two or to get like the 8 ls1's instead of the northstar type or what?
thanks

I have heard that the dual terminal coils actually put out more voltage because they are bigger than the single coils. The cylinder that gets the "waste" spark takes almost no voltage away from the cylinder actually firing.

I think both can handle it.

If you like "coil-near-plug" or don't like "waste-spark" or need timing adjustments for NOS or such, the LTCC will do what you want.
For straight 1/4 mile quick trips, you probably can't go wrong.

But for daily driving, myself, I like things under the hood to be moisture proof (I am **** about this since I've seen several Accel and MSD (and have heard of at least one LTCC) units collect moisture and fail just from the humidity in the air condensing in them here in Florida) and went with the Delteq -- the case is sealed.
