I bet a guy that an LT5 was never an option on Firehawks. The best they got was LT4 right? The LT5 was only an option on ZR1's right?

Right. The LT5 was before the LT1 and LT4.

So this dude's full of **** sayin' that his friend's got a Firehawk with an LT5 in it? I understand he MIGHT have swapped one in, but the bet was that the LT5 was NEVER an option on Firehawks. Am I right?

I don't think that motor would fit in a 4th gen very easily. Besides, they are mega expensive.

I am almost positive that an LT5 won't even fit in an f-body engine bay.

And yes, the LT4 was the only other engine besides stock that the Firehawks got.

No, theyre still small blocks. The 427s used back in the 60s were big blocks. The ones but in those 2002 Berger camaros were just bored and stroked small blocks. The differentiation between small block and big block has to do the physical engine block itself, not the displacment.

No, it just happened to have the same displacement as the "big block" 427. It was just a bored/stroked LS1/LS6 motor. Actually a C5R block, but a Gen III based one, not a big block.

Hey, it's possible to shove a big block into a 4th gen, maybe it is possible to shoehorn in an LT5. I don't see why though.
