LT4km Worth it

I just started reading about the LT4KM and it seems that its worth getting once i get my longtubes in...but is there any reason that i should not get it now? The headers wont be in for a couple of months....but can the knock module hurt anything? I figure i might as well do it because theres no reason not to.
Thanks
Bill

I had one on my 97, notice a little smoother uptop, some have noticed alot more. For 30 bucks why not and it takes 2 seconds to install

I got one for Christmas and put it on just a couple of hours ago. I have SLP headers and true dual Bullets. Seems a little more smooth and not as rough. I think it helped out well.

Worth it IMO - Helps get rid of that false knock, in which could hurt performance.

There are 2 kinds of knock, true knock and false knock. Noiser valve trains (1.6 RR's) and headers produce more mechanical noise. This noise can be picked up by the knock sensor and interpreted as predetonation. The LT4 engine came with RR's and the LT4 knock module was tuned to not listen to this mechanical noise, therefore less prone to false knock. Chances are your long tubes will increase your mechanical noise.

Get it it's a very necessary item. It's up there with the 8mm wires and plugs. If you plan on making more power your going to need it.

Yeah just get the LT4 KM. It won't hurt anything if you install it. It can only make things better. It only takes like 5-10 min to install it also. You can have false knock on a stock car. I only have hooker catback and slp cai and i was seeing 4-5* of false knock. I have no more false knock now with the lt4 km.
