I recently bought an LT4 timing set off this board. It is new like described, but I was under the impression that it was the HD. After comparing it to the HD, I found that it wasn't. My question is....

-Will the LT4 timing set (Non HD) hold a cc306 cam? I know I will eventually get the HD set, but until I can get the extra cash, will the standard LT4 set hold the 306 cam?

Some people use the stock LT1 set with the CC306. I wouldn’t be comfortable spinning it over 6k very often with that set, I think that the LT4 is good enough.

 

According to the tech rep at Cloyes, I would not run the regular LT4 set, see my post, "LT4 timing set looks "dinky" compared to stock".

 

i dont think it would be bad, ive seen the lt1 stocker hold its own with some big cams
