LT4 valve springs are they good enough for the hotcam. I'm going to get 1.66 RR's

thanks i might eventuallly get a cam a bit more than then the hotcam

 

I have the LT4 Hot springs on now with a stock cam
and 1.6:1 rockers. The springs have worked fine for
me. I would recommend different springs with the
Hot cam and more than 1.6:1 rockers.

I will be putting in the Isky 235-D springs next, but
only because I will not go beyond 0.553" lift in the
future. I think the Isky's would be better than the
GMPP Hot springs just because you have a greater
safety margin. You are looking at 0.545" lift with the
Hot cam and 1.66:1 rockers.

If you use a 0.050" safety margin the Hot springs are
only good for 0.510" lift, why they run them to 0.525"
has always seemed strange to me.

 

What springs come stock on LT-4 heads?..
"hotsprings"... that just sounds funny.

 

I was seeing a lot of float with my old hotcam and springs.

 

There are no LT4 Hot Springs. The LT4 Hot Cam kit comes with LT4 springs. Some feel the LT4 springs are insufficient for the Hot Cam, but the combo seems to work ok.

Does this kit have everthing I need retainters etc? thanks. I would like to be on the safe side with things and get a sufficient spring.
