I just put some rockers( ones that come in hotcam kit) on my car, and they seem to be much louder. It almost sounds like an exhaust leak, but I can tell its the rockers. Is this normal? Also, I have an ses light, and when the car warms up, in neutral rpms only drop to about 900, and when driving, 800. Is this due to the ses?

 

Perfectly normal. The RPM drop is not due to the SES light, but it could be the other way around. The SES light is warning you something is not right.

You need to pull the stored code and find out what is going on. Could be mis-adjusted rockers causing poor idle and the PCM throwing a code for incorrect idle speed....could be you forgot to hook something back up like the IAC.

Ill look through it today. I know the car has no miss, idles very smooth, and the temp due to the fans always being on is, always around 170, even when idling.

 

I just went out and checked. Everything I checked was plugged in. I saw a harness left unplugged on the drivers side, but I think it went to the air pump. I also had my computer tuned for my rear gears. He changed speedo, and shiftpoints, and firmness, but couldnt delete the codes from the computer, so I think it might of been a hypertech, or some kind of programmer. Could that effect my idle speed?
