Question LT4/LT1 intake swap

I was just curious how hard this was to do, and if it was really worth it. I know a guy selling one and was wanting to get peoples thoughts on it. Thanks.

You need the LT4 heads to match. Its a different design on the intake runners.

No you dont. LT4 intake works fine with LT1 heads. LT1 intake does NOT work with LT4 heads.

Never heard that before. Anyway, I was told you need to modify the lt4 intake to work with stock heads but I can't be sure.

It DOES work. The LT4 intake works fine with stock LT1 heads.

If you are referring to physically bolting up components, you got it backwards! If you are referring to port alignment and size of port opening, the two intakes are (+- 1/32") virtually identical, with the advantage in 'overall' oem cast port opening size (larger) going to the LT(1) intake.

No it don't! Not able to physicaly bolt it up, unless you modify the head mounting surface or the intake casting. I'd like to know how you accomplished this. (unmodified)

That is how I understood it to. Can anyone else confirm this?

By confirming, I trust you are referring to those that actually use/have in their possession these components, not comfirmation from those that pass on misinformation without verifying (somehow).

I have a pair of afr190's that I purchased on ebay. They came with an lt4 intake that had been cnc ported to match the heads. Both the heads and intake say MORE (aka, More performance) on them. Not sure what would match up stock though. From what I have seen there is really no reason to switch to the lt4 intake besides looks, and there are people powdercoating the lt1 intake.
