LT4 knock sensor

Dumb question !
Can a LT4 knock sensor be used in an OBD1 1993 LT1 ?

No, the LT4 (OBDII) knock sensors can only be used in the OBDII cars. You also can't use the LT4 knock module in your 93.

Do you mean knock MODULE? I think the sensors are all the same...

There are two different knock sensors.... low impedance for OBD-I and high impedance for OBD-II. But to be technically correct, there is no "unique" knock sensor used in the LT4.... its just an OBD-II sensor, used on all other OBD-II LTx's.

Pretty sure he meant knock module, and not the knock sensor.

I'd also like to add that the LT4 knock module doesn't only work on OBDII cars. They also work on 94/95 OBDI cars as well. The module is not able to be replaced in 93 cars.
