How old is that info, though. I paid $26.61 shipped, but that was back in November of 1998. (List price then was $41.61. List price now is $129.58)

Has anyone heard that this part has been discontinued by GM? Is there any advantage of running this part over the LT1 knock module? I had considered purchasing one, but eventually came under the impression that any benefits associated with the LT4 KM could also be accomplished via a tune? Is that true? My car has nothing but headers, but someday I may want to do more.

No, it is not discontinued. [edit] Just saw someone on another board saying it was. Several online places where you can search by part number don't say it is.

Certain knock parameters in the tune can be adjusted minimize the effect of knock, but the "listening" properties the module actually does cannot be duplicated.

I sent an email to Jason Cromer. He said his system is showing that the part is backordered, but not discontinued. I guess that's a relief for anyone that might want the part. I did see a thread on another forum this morning stating that the part had been discontinued.
