LT4 Knock Module

Have any of yall put an LT4 knock module on your cars. I recently tuned the computer a bit, one of the things i did was to have it so its programmed to run on 92+ octane, so that should take some of the knock out. I was wonderin if puttin the module would help more, or if now it wouldnt be that necessary. How have they worked for those of you that have done them, and also, did you retourqe the knock sensor, if so where is it located on the motor. Thanks for the help.

I'm very happy with the LT4 KM. Filtered out a ton of false knock that I was getting. I don't know how much benefit you'll see, it's more beneficial for cars with headers and bigger cams. It seems those two things produce noises that are often sympathetic to the knock sensor, triggering false knock.

its located inside the pcm . .bery easy to swap out the kms. . .you will need a 3 in extension on a 10mm socket wrench to get the pcm out

Put mine in in about 15 min and taking my time. Probably could of done it in 10 if I had everything I needed right next to me. The LT4 KM made a huge difference, I was clearly losing a ton of power through false knock.

I think the knock sensor is on the lower passenger side of the block. Not 100% sure though, I've never actually bothered to look.

Sideway just got the knock module confused with the knock sensor. The sensor is on the block, while the module is just a little chip inside the PCM.

There isn't really a need to change the knock sensor. But the knock module is in the pcm. It only takes about 5-10 min to change. Also SIDEWAYZ i noticed you live here in fairfield also. I don't think i have seen your car around though. Also why do you have to change it back to stock for a supercharger?

I just got my 1LE Elbow (My current elbow is ripped) and my LT4 Knock Module in the mail the other day from Jason Cromer, great guy, i highly recomend doing business with him

I have a loudmouth and my exhaust is pretty loud. So i figured i could be getting some false knock from it...not sure...but its wroth the 30 bucks i paid for the module.
