LT4 KM in 93 car?

I'm planning on doing headers and 1.6rr and was wondering if the LT4 KM works in the 93 speed density cars? I think I just saw on shoeboxes sight that they weren't available that year, please tell me I"m mistaken.

That is correct. You can't put one in.

You need to desensitize the KS.

This is what I did:

Your right.. there is none..

I can and like to do alot of desensitizing in the factory program. Its completely safe yet keeps the car from cutting its throat at the slightest little noise.

Since I have your chip in my car for the mods in my sig, would it have been desensitized enough for header install. Maybe even self aligning 1.6rr. Or maybe I will just send it back to be reflashed for my newest mods.

That's probably the safest way to go about it.
I'm not a big fan of resistors spliced into any sensor on a car.
It's a potential recipe for disaster.

Cars were run for years with NO knock sensor. Your ears were it and they didn't blow up and made GOOD power.
