LT4 intake Q's

can i bolt up an LT4 intake to my stock LT1 heads?,
i plan to get them port matched

i have always thought you could do this but i just heard otherwise

Chris, I just bought the intake and found out that they don't bolt together. Everyone claims it is because of raised intake runners, however my problem was with the valve-cover rails. They would need to be machined down to fit it. I just went ahead and splurged for the heads.

The only reason to buy the LT4 intake is to match it to the LT4 heads.

The LT1 intake flows great, which is why no one is selling aftermarket intakes. The only thing you need to do is port the TB holes if you run a larger TB.

If you are concerned with looks, you can get the LT1 intake powdercoated for $50: http://www.bmrfabrication.com/pc.htm
