Re: lt4 intake manifold

You can't just bolt your LT1 heads onto the LT4 manifold. You must run Lt4 heads with the LT4 manifold.

Re: lt4 intake manifold

there would prolly be some gain from the lt4 mani but it would have to be port matched to the heads i think. the only difference between it and the stock lt11 is that the intake runners are shorter and the ports are higher up, so it might bolt up but the port alignment is off.

Re: lt4 intake manifold

The only real difference with the LT4 intake is the raised runners. This is because LT4 heads also have raised runners. I dont believe you can even bolt an LT4 intake on LT1 heads but if you were able to then it would probably hurt performance as the head ports will be slightly smaller than the intake ports... not something you want!

Re: lt4 intake manifold

LT4 Intake Manifold only works with LT4 Heads, and the gains are minimal at best. Just get your stocker LT1 ported out, I just gasket matched mine with a dremel when i had my heads off.

Open your phone book look for a powder coating company, have it powder coated. It's that easy.

I painted mine when it was off the car. Oreilly's engine paint. like 5$, still holding strong. Looks good too. Just make sure to tape off the top so it still looks shiny silver in the grooves.

They're not chrome, you tape that off, so the paint is in teh groves, this being after you polish the top of the intake. giving it that chrome blang blang effect.
