lt4 intake mainfold

I have a 94 camaro z28 with a lt1 engine with the lt4 hot cam and a 58 throttle body. I was thinking about getting the lt4 intake. would that increase my horspower - everything is stock the heads and all except with the cam. also is the lt4 intake ported to accept a 58 or is it only 52mm like the lt1 manifolds. Do you think I should buy the intake or dont waste my money - MIKE

The intake alone won't give you an advantage and it won't fit LT1 heads.

As noted above, doesn't fit because of an interference with the valve cover rail on the LT1 heads. It can be machined to fit, though. Won't gain you anything because there is no significant difference in the intake runners between the LT1 and LT4 intake (there is on the heads.... raised roof runners on the LT4 heads, but not on the intake manifold). There is more metal in the roof of the LT4 runners so they can be enlarged to support the LT4 heads, but GM didn't bother to do that. The throttle bores are the same size as the LT1 intake.

Don't waste your money.
