LT1 Based Engine Tech 1993-1997 LT1/LT4 Engine Related

For LT4 hotcam, do I need just the chain, or the whole timing chain set?

For LT4 hotcam, do I need just the chain, or the whole timing chain set?

I just replaced my Timinh chain, before I knew I needed the LT4 one, do I just buy the chain or the set?

yeah, i believe it is a whole set, and it aint cheap. i chose to go with an electric water pump and a Cloyes TRUE double roller instead. costs a substancial amount less!

The chain won't work with the stock sprockets. IMO, you should always replace all as a set anyway, not individual components.

I replaced my chain with a stock chain only. I did that because I am running a meziere waterpump which doesn't put any strain on the timing set like the stock setup does. Anyhoo, this may be the right or the wrong way, but I haven't had any problems.
