Re: LT4 hot cam and gm 847 cam

Going to need valves springs and rockers. Neither will handle the lift or aggressiveness of the GM847. Changing valvetrain parts means also changing the valvetrain geometry, that means your going to have to recheck for correct pushrods length. A common and reliable valvespring kit would be the Patriot Gold spring kits for the LT1/SBC. Rockers you can purchase Comp Ultra Pro Mags, Scorpions, Crane, etc. You may want to do some searching and see if non self-aligning and/or 7/16 stud rockers would be something your willing to upgrade to. You currently run 3/8 stud self-aligning rockers. Non self-aligning rockers will require guideplates. 7/16 rockers will require new 7/16 rocker studs.

Where you can buy it? Eh, just about anywhere but it's always nice to buy things from people who help support the LT1 community. Elliott's Portworks is who I like dealing with. Always helpful, willing to take time out of his days to answer questions, give advice, and provide troubleshooting help. Best service I've had in the performance community. He might even talk you into porting those LT4 heads and making some real nice power with that setup

Re: LT4 hot cam and gm 847 cam

Scorpion 1.6 Rockers: $200
7/16 studs: $40
Guideplates: $45
Patriot Gold Springs: $250
Camshaft: $250
Pushrods: $80
[$875 +/-]

Sell your old stuff: GMPP Rockers $125-150, Hotcam $100-125, Hotcam springs, retainers, locks ~$50 [$325]

About $550 give or take depending on tax and what you can sell your parts for. You could do it cheaper but that's how I'd do it.

+ Labor if you can't do it yourself.
