I am thinking the CC918's with the Scorpion 1.7 RR's. Good or bad, or what do you recommend.
350 LT1, TPIS heads, A4, 3.23 gears, 93 Z28, Mid Length Headers, with MT DR's.

The hotcam with 1.7 rockers should give you a lift of .558 / .558.

Acording to CompCams Catalog, the 918s coil bind at 1.085. So with an install height of 1.75 you should be fine. (1.75 - .558 = 1.19)

At 1.19, you'll get a spring pressure around 318 lbs/in. Not sure if this is good for the Hotcam, but I assume it's fine.

As far as springs, the 918 would be good, 1.75 - 1.085 - .06 = .605, that's plenty of lift. Ends up leaving around a tenth of an inch before coil bind.

What kind of performance increase would a hotcam + 1.7s yield over the stock stuff?

bumping this one back up to the top because i am wondering if this has been done by anyone yet.

still looking for info on this setup if anyone has it!! would it require clearancing of the valve covers or anything of that nature?

I would also like to know what kind of hp this setup will offer over the standard hotcam setup.

10-15 hp depending on other mods.
