Re: tdc indicator?

If your looking for TDC on a piston, with the plug out rotate the engine by hand until you feel air coming out of the plug hole. Then use a wooden dowel or a blunt pencil in the plug hole to indicate when the piston comes up to TDC.

I've used pencils before and they work good but, I like using drinking straws better. They have NO chance of breaking in cylinder and you can feel the piston pretty good. As far as the ballancer goes, the bolt holes are offset........it'll only go on one way.

Adjust them running. Oil won't go everywhere and it's much easier in my opinion.
