I am thinking about buying a 94z. I'm being told that it has LT4 heads but i noticed that the intake is stock. My question is ..is it possible to have LT4 heads with a LT1 intake?

I doubt it. It would be more trouble than its worth to make a stock intake fit LT4 heads.

 

Not 100 perncent sure but i think the mainfold would have to be the lt4(red) one in order to match up.

 

I think it's possible, but it would require porting the stock intake to match the LT4 heads, and it's usually a lot easier just to buy the LT4 intake. Plus, when most people do the upgrade they buy the kit which include the LT4 heads and intake. I'd find out the part numbers for the LT4 heads, and verify it before I bought the car.

 

You must have an LT4 intake for LT4 heads. They are different dimensions than the stock intakes.
