LT4 Head question...bare?

I need some help, as I do not know if these are even available.
Is there anyplace or anyone that will sell me a bare set of LT4's?
Where can I look? I was hoping to be under a grand, but cannot find a used set that haven't been mangled.

THANKS!

They go brand new all over the place for ~$1200...what are your aspirations with the LT4 heads?

I have not seen a bare set. You could always sell the springs, valves, etc...

goto www.superchevyperformance.com you can find the lt4 conversion kit there. just get the part numbers for the heads, call them, and order them separately. i would suggest the intake too though.

$975 for Bare LT4's is a good price.

If you don't have valves I would order them with the valves too. The hollow stem intakes and sodium filled exhaust valves are not cheap and they have some good weight advantages over aftermarket valves. On top of that I've seen some ports only loose 2cfm staying with a 2.00 stock LT4 valve vs a 2.02 aftermarket valve.

Depends on what you want to do with the heads though. If you want to port them, then why start with a 195cc LT4 port? For less money you can get a better canvas to start from with the AFR 195's. They have more potential after porting over a LT4, less volume to start with, more material in the ports and a thicker deck surface. BTW the bare AFR LT4 195 list price is $940, so you even save $35 (or more)
