LT4 ED Timing set

Is there any way to use the LT4 Extreme Duty timing set, but still keep the non vented timing cover/opti? I dont' feel like buying a new timing cover or opti, so it'd be great if I could utilize what I have. Thanks!

No, no way possible at all. The opti is driven by the 93-94 style timing set.

I'd suggest updating to the vented opti setup at this point. More timing chain options. You could go double roller instead of the LT4 and save close to $200 and buy that new opti. Timing cover you can get used for cheap.

Yeah, that's what I figured.

So what all is needed to convert to the vented system? Opti, timing cover, vac. harness, what else?

Thanks!

I just picked up a '95 timing cover at the local U-Pull It yard for $6
