Considering you can get a brand new LT4 Hotcam or even a Comp grind for around that much, which will make alot more power, I would rethink that choice.

Yeah, $200 is way too much. Even half that is too much. Like 2000GTP said, you can get a brand new cam from Comp for ~$239.

....BTW, I JUST searched the word "cam" in the "for sale" section on this site alone and a whole pile of threads came up.

The LT4 cam has less lift and a negligible increase in duration over your stock cam. And they go for $25-50 on corvette boards.

LT1 Intake 205 deg. LT1 117 deg.
Exhaust 207 deg. LT4 115 deg.

Exhaust 210 deg.
personally i would go to a cc305,new springs cause your factory ones are weak anyway,definately a new timing chain!

If you notice the lift numbers for both cams, a set of 1.6 RR on the stock LT1 cam will give you the same lift numbers as the LT4 cam. So other than 2 deg less intake and 3 deg more exh duration, they are the same cam. Oh and a slightly smaller LSA. Not worth the swap even if it were free IMO.
