Thanks for the link formula383, I'll check it out. I'm looking at all the suggestions you guys are offering and I appreciate the info. I'm going to research a litlle bit more with this conversion, especially with the head and cam situation of other sources and compare in all aspects.

Shon herron: You have this entire hot cam kit. So how did you like it with low mph on it's torque? Is it true the hotcam is a higher mph cam. I'm interested in higher mph torque, like around 50mph to 70mph...being able to feel a nice pull up top..that's why I decided the hotcam. So you think it could use more uhmmphf!?

I wonder what the kit would be like if a xe 224/230 cam was in it. If there is something that is one-step bigger than the hotcam, I think I may like that idea better. I did a search on here with this cam and heard alot of good things but I'm not sure how the power band on this is with low mph to high mph feel. I may be interested in something a lil stronger than a hot cam cuz i've seen alot of posts/threads that hotcam people wish they went bigger. Now I'm wondering if I will be saying the same thing and regret it. Anyhow, back to searching...

 

I think my car pulls pretty good where ever the RPMs are but I have always been a 'drag racer' with this car. I have always wanted to get out of the whole fast and keep it up.
With the TH350 and 3.73 set up I have now the car is always in the power band, 60MPH @ 3000 and gets up and goes.

My recommendation would be to go with an XE grind of your choice.

The HOT cam is a good cam for what it is. But there is more out there for the Heads and a bigger cam is always on my list....
