Talking LT4 Conversion passed emissions!!

Guy who just bought my truck wanted it inspected before he picked it up. It's a 94 warranty replacement 4 bolt main stock shortblock, LT4 conversion w/ 1 5/8 primary shorties and a 3" catco converter. Self tuned and running pretty good.

I was sweating bullets when the threw the sniffer in, but they said it ran pretty clean.

Can someone help define these numbers for me?
Reading Standard
HC (ppm) - 133 220
CO (%) - 0.14 1.2
CO2 (%) - 13.5

Compare them to my stock 111K mile engine:

HC: 17.5ppm (114ppm limit)
CO: 0.05% (0.63% limit)

So, you'd be over the HC limit here in Cincinnati, Ohio, but under the CO.

Guy who just bought my truck..

You have a '95 auto? Apples to oranges here. In addition, he didn't state the year of the truck.

Am I missing something?

Yes, he said the truck had an LT4 conversion in it. My '95 is an M6.

So, comparing LT4 to LT1...

yeah, the whole first paragraph of my post..

it's a 94 lt1 w/ the lt4 conversion, stuffed it into a 89 ext cab s-10, not that it matters.. has the 4l60-e, trans go shift kit, tci 3500 stall, richmond 3.73s, didn't have to do a rolling test, just idle and 2500 rpm sniffer.

think the reason my hc reading was so high cause i was idling around 750 w/ the hot cam. has a lot of overlap, blowing raw fuel right on through.

preciate all the replies sticking to the topic answering my questions.

Appears we didn't understood each other. I was referring to the emission test specs. I was under the impression you weren't aware the other vehicle was a truck, with your comment about it not passing in your state. It would be irrelevant, cuz he would not have to pass your test specs, even if he was in your state, being a truck.

I didn't realize what you meant was he'd be 'over the limit' IF the engine was in a vehicle similar to yours.

I see! Yes, I was just comparing engine output, regardless of the vehicle. I am a bit surprised the LT4 put out so much more HC. I imagine his tuning has something to do with it too.
