LT4 composite valve covers not fitting...Need help fast

The difference in discussion is the normal Corvette LT1 cover and the LT4 cover, both in composite form. It seems the OP clearly shows that he was having trouble with LT1 covers and that the LT4 cover does not have the tabs that were his obstruction.

OK. I'm clear on that now. Thanks. Is the Corvette LT1 cover different than the Camaro LT1 cover? I apologize in advance if that's a stupid question.

The Camaro covers are stamped steel, not composite.

One more question guys.
When I cut these "drip tabs" off, do I need to prep the cut surface or leave it alone. Seems oil might soak into the cut areas. I know super glue would soak into the cut area and seal it up.

Any thoughts?
