I am putting an LT4 hot cam BBK Shortie Headers 1.52 roller tip rockers lt4 springs and of course pushrods is the LT4 Knock Module absolutely necessary also i'm getting a tune of course if so anybody have one for sale? thanks

 

You can't use an LT4 KM with a 1993 computer, so don't worry about it.

 

And if you're going to run the hot cam you might want to seriously consider running 1.6 roller rockers instead of the 1.5 as the lift on the hot cam isn't all that impressive to begin with, even with 1.6's let alone with 1/5's. Just my .02

 

Yes i know the 1.6 rockers are better for the cam believe you me, but the rockers i am going with are cheaper than the 1.6 rollers and will still put a little more lift than stock to the valves. Thanks for the info on the knock sensor but will this cause any problems for me such as knock retardation etc?

 

The LT4 knock module was designed to filter the noise of the Crane Gold 1.6 full roller rockers used on the LT4 engine. If you are simply using 1.52X roller tips, you probably won't see any more noise/knock retard than the stockers. Easy way to find out is to monitor knock retard when you are driving. If you don't have knock retard, you don't need to desnsitize the knock sensor in the 93.
