LT4 Cam ?

LT4 Cam ?

Hay guys I was thinking of getting the hot cam from summit or a different caliber cam I hear it the E.C.M needs to be tuned for that cam is that true? Does any one have this cam? can you feel if there is more grunt? I'm rebuilding my engine 170,058 miles on her I think it's time

LT4 HOT cam has more duration than the LT1 cam... not sure if that's what you meant by "caliber". And, any cam swap needs tuning for maximum performance.

I have this cam. There is noticable amount of power increase. With any cam, you will def need the computer tuned. YOu will also need other things like valve springs, free flowing exhaust and a list of other things to support or see the full potential of an aftermarket cam.

The LT4 Hotcam is an older design but is great for a car that sees a lot of street use. You can use the stock converter with little surging. Virtualy every question has been asked about it on this very web site. Check out the search.
