LT1 won't start....this is a stumper

Ok kids, here is how it is. My car has heads/cam and I just installed pacesetter long tubes and was running them open for like 3 days. The car started to develop a hesitation when it heated up, got so bad that right before I dropped it off at the shop for him to finish up the exhaust the idle was all over the place. He got it into the garage and out, when I went to start it the idle was crazy so I shut it off and it hasn't started since.

I have replaced the opti, the wires are fine, and replaced the plugs as the others looked bad. I have spark at the plugs and fp and can hear the injectors fire when I turn the opti over by hand. I have not been able to get a laptop to sync with the pcm and have not been able to pull any codes.

Anyway, after the new plugs tonite when I tried to start it it backfired a couple times and smoke came out the intake and the breather valve that goes into the valve cover. It starts to catch but doesn't, and it almost did but the battery died. I seriously have no idea and it makes no sense to me ;[ Please help, its been 3 weeks with this ****ing thing.v

So it has not run since you replaced the opti? Is it indexed correctly? Plug wires on correctly?

stopped running BEFORE the opti, replaced the opti in attempt to fix since it pointed in that direction. I have the spline one, I know 100% its on right and have gone over the plug wires 3x.
